Welcoming in 2012

We haven't blogged much over the holidays as we have actually not been doing much of anything. We are enjoying the good life sitting out on our porch playing cards, having a cuppa tea, and watching the wildlife around our place.....Oh, and have I mentioned how much lettuce and spinach we have been harvesting? Our garden has completely exploded with beautiful crops this year, so we are really blessed. (But I must confess that I am growing weary of having greens for every meal! haha...)

We have been trying forever to capture this little guy on film, so here is a cool picture of our little Hedge Hog who comes out every day here...
He has a little routine around 5 every night, but usually races under the porch when I come out with my camera.

This past year has been amazing for us. We are settling into our life here in Masterton and loving being out here in the country. Unfortunately this past month has been the wetest in history for this time of year, so we haven't done as much tramping as planned. However, it has proven to be a very restful and enjoyable summer for us.

We are looking forward to all the exciting things that 2012 will bring our way. I start school again in a few weeks. It is so hard to believe that this is my third year at uni. Our time in NZ has been amazing so far, and we expect nothing less in the coming year! We will post all the exciting events ahead, but for now, I'll leave you with the thought that our life at the moment is much like this Hedge Hog's - we are just pottering around, easy going, until then next big adventure comes along.....
