We have had such an amazing journey together so far...It's been a great life and a wonderful marriage and we wouldn't trade it for anything in the world. We got married at West Point, NY the day after Travis graduated on June 2, 2002.

Unfortunately most of our early pictures are not digital and are actually back home in Kansas awaiting the time when we will ship them over. Therefore, I have no real pictures from our first year where we lived in Kentucky for five months. Travis was then deployed to Iraq for a year.

This is where Travis was on our first anniversary and I spent the day celebrating with his Aunt Lisa in Kansas. Travis was home for our second anniversary as I recall, but we were in Kansas at the time and I have no digital photos of that.

Travis went to S. Korea for 10 months and then came home just before our third anniversary. We did a massive road trip through Utah and then ended in the Grand Canyon - by far the best vacation ever!

I joined Travis for two years in S. Korea where we spent our fourth and fifth anniversary.

Then we were off to Alaska!! Travis fought wild-land fires while I worked at the rural clinic and EMS.

Our sixth anniversary we were apart but in the same state! I was in Tok and Travis was in McGrath.

Then we were off to Valdez, AK where Travis was a cop for a while.

Then back to Tok again....

Our seventh anniversary Travis was out fighting fires and I was in Kennicott, AK...

Last year we went out to Castle Point, NZ...Don't really have any official "anniversary" picture that year either....

And this year we hung out in good ole' Palmy and celebrated with a great Korean dinner at a local restaurant.....It's hard to condense 9 years of your life into a quick photo re-cap, but that's about the best I can come up with! Hopefully after exams are over we will get some good tramping in and post some more interesting photos on the blog - sorry it's been a bit boring lately, but with clinical placements and everything life has been a bit hectic.
happy anniversary!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I love the picture of Travis as a cop. He looks about as happy as I am when I'm dealing with one.
ReplyDeleteYeah, Cobey...he didn't last very long doing that! haha...He definitely loves being out on fires and I think that is really where his passion lies. Hope you are doing well.
